But where are the vuvuzelas?!

With the media landscape awash with brands trying to leverage World Cup fever, I came across this which stood out. The idea – unbelievable feats of skill, perfectly fits the Youtube medium and is a great way to demontrate the camera’s functions and benefits. I can’t help but think that if it was less over-produced it would work even better and could spawn CG efforts; perhaps even a piss take from other brands. I could see a great one from John Smith using Peter Kaye (think ‘Ave it’ ad) or one from a female drinks brand using some English-team WAGS….

Don’t you just love (hate) it when someone comes up with a brilliant idea, that you didn’t do yourself…

Spotted this from a Dutch creative team. It’s the ultimate fan shirt. When your team slams one in the back of the net you can celebrate in true player’s style, by pulling the shirt over your head. The nice twist is that on doing so you reveal a players face, making you look like one of the team. No one has commercialised this yet but I can see it flying as an idea. Ronaldinho and Rooney’s shirts will be lost leaders no doubt…
